$50,000 Raised at 2017 ‘Catalyst for Change’ Breakfast to Support Our Work

Thank you to all of our Guests, Table Captains, Volunteers, and Sponsors for helping to make our 2nd Annual Catalyst for Change Breakfast a success!

With your support we were able to exceed our goal… We raised a total of $50,000 for the Youth Initiative and our LIFT Fund.

The event, held on Friday, September 15, 2017 at the Adams 12 Five Star Schools Conference Center in Thornton, welcomed over 300 attendees who gathered in support. Attendees included dozens of elected officials and dignitaries and representation from across the public, education, and private sectors.

The event was emceed by Anusha Roy from Channel 9 News and included remarks from the Honorable Don Quick, 17th Judicial District Judge; Chaz Tedesco, Adams County Commissioner; Megan Powell, Extraction Oil and Gas; Emma Pinter, Board Chair; Becky Hoffman, Executive Director; Rich Patterson, School District 27J; Krista Dean, Stuart Middle School Assistant Principal; and Maggie McEldowney and Kevin Martinez, Stuart Middle School students.

The event was also kicked off with a special presentation of colors by the Westminster High School Airforce JROTC Cadets, and was catered by the Adams 12 ProStart Program.

A new name for the organization and a logo refresh were also unveiled at the event… the YOUth Initiative of Adams County is a slight change from the former Adams County Youth Initiative. The name and logo update are intended to place focus and emphasis on ‘you’ and ‘youth’, the key components to the Partnership’s work. READ MORE
