“Help to realize our vision of every student attending a school that is safe and secure, one that is free of fear and conducive to learning” ~William Lassiter
The Adams County School Safety and Violence Prevention Conference is designed to build the capacity of schools to prevent, prepare, respond and recover from crisis situations. The conference will also provide evidence-based strategies, programs, and models related to violence prevention and targeted specifically to the needs of Adams County. Participants will learn about legal issues related to school safety and the resources available to Adams County schools through the Adams County Youth Initiative and the $8 million countywide Safe Schools/Healthy Student grant. Over two days, national and local experts will present current information on school safety and effective violence prevention programs and strategies to 300 Adams County school administrators and school resource officers.
