The Kindergarten Readiness Collaborative Action Network (CAN) is convened by the Early Childhood Partnership of Adams County (ECPAC). ECPAC brings together diverse Adams County partners in the areas of childhood education, health, mental health, and family support to help ensure that every child is ready for school.

OUR GOAL: Increase kindergarten readiness of youth in Adams County through collective efforts of cross sector partners focused on eliminating barriers and investing in what works.
WHY KINDERGARTEN READINESS? With the overarching goal of ensuring that our children and youth become productive, contributing members of the workforce, the Youth Initiative is focused on increasing student achievement and the safety and well-being of children and youth in our community. To support this effort, the Youth Initiative has identified critical points along the cradle to career pipeline which will impact that goal. Kindergarten readiness is a critical milestone for young children.

HOW? The Collaborative Action Network (CAN) that focuses on kindergarten readiness, functions as a collective impact mechanism that brings practitioners and partner organizations together to provide cross-sector coordination of efforts in areas that impact kindergarten readiness.
COMMITMENT It is our intent that CAN members have a sense of shared ownership over improvement in the Cradle to Career Outcome area that they have aligned to and eventually will be tasked to set targets for The Partnership in ensuring all children are ready for kindergarten.
